Everyone takes BAD images. The trick is to try to learn from the bad ones.
What did you do wrong? Could you have planned more and gotten a better shot.
Especially with wildlife images, you are going to get shots out of focus, with the subject missing or even partly hidden.
RULE 1: Shoot NOW! Don't wait for the best shot, it may not come and you will kick yourself if you miss an opportunity!
RULE 2: Shoot in BURSTS. Anyone who says that a wildlife or sports photographer can shoot just the shots they need are fools.
I have images that are separated by 1/10 of a second where only 1 of 3 or 5 images is any good!
RULE 3: Sometimes a lousy out of focus shot can be used later for something you never guessed when you first saw it.
RULE 4: Some images just need to be processed(edited) or cropped.
